The European Lacrosse Convention 06 was the first meeting of European lacrosse organizers and coaches and took place from May 26th to 28th in Aachen, Germany. This is the report on the event…

AACHEN, May 26th – the ELF and Euro-Lax called and Lacrossers from “name all nations on the sign-up list” and North America came to join for the first ever European Lacrosse Convention in Aachen.
Everybody who went up the forest-surrounded hill to the romantic buildings of the DJH, was excited what to expect of this new convention format.
After the opening speech of Peter Mundy, the President of the ELF, who gave a quick overview of the history and the current status of Lacrosse in Europe, one could feel already that this was going to be a dynamic workshop-like meeting of mostly young top level Lacrosse enthusiasts who are involved in the grassroots work to promote the growth of their sport.
