Team for the Championships

The core of the team will be selected mainly from the players ofthe three elite Czech clubs – LC Jižní Město, LCC Radotín and TJ Malešice.

We expect that several elite players of Czech descent from overseas will join the team. These players should bring their experience and skills to raise the quality of play up and motivate the Czech players to perform better by bringing a positive competitive atmosphere to the squad.

Head coach Dave Elwood has named his final World Cup team.

After months of deliberation, training camps, tours and scrimmage matches against top-class opposition, Elwood has finally decided on the players he believes have a real chance of being successful in Ontario, Canada, from July 13-22.

Elwood needed to find just one player to fill his 23-man quota, but has been forced to shuffle the pack after an unwanted injury to American midfielder Dan Kallaugher, well-regarded for being very good at the face-off position.

The European Lacrosse Convention 06 was the first meeting of European lacrosse organizers and coaches and took place from May 26th to 28th in Aachen, Germany. This is the report on the event…

AACHEN, May 26th – the ELF and Euro-Lax called and Lacrossers from “name all nations on the sign-up list” and North America came to join for the first ever European Lacrosse Convention in Aachen.
Everybody who went up the forest-surrounded hill to the romantic buildings of the DJH, was excited what to expect of this new convention format.
After the opening speech of Peter Mundy, the President of the ELF, who gave a quick overview of the history and the current status of Lacrosse in Europe, one could feel already that this was going to be a dynamic workshop-like meeting of mostly young top level Lacrosse enthusiasts who are involved in the grassroots work to promote the growth of their sport.
